Quality tool and the price is right. Not the biggest fan of the red paint. We'll see how long it takes to wear off!

All around reliable Pulaskis. Made in North Caroline USA. Steel is high quality, chopping bit side is nice and thin, and has a great edge. The only drawback with these Council Pulakis (and axes) are the aluminum wedges and the high hang on the handle. I order lots of these for trail crews and often the wedge is driven into the steel eye of the tool head and are a bear to get the wedge out to re-handle the tool. As you can tell from the photo of the item, these are hung too high and the heads pop off pretty easily. Once you get the wedge out and rehang, these are fantastic tools. Just need Council to spend a little more time getting these heads fitted on the handle.

Council Quality as I have come to expect. The Pulaski is very well shaped / uniform. I like that the head is drop forged instead of cast like some other brands. The hickory handle on mine was nice, straight and durable.

Im the only landscaper in the Rochester NY area I know of that uses a Pulaski axe for grubbing out bushes. Why my competitors dont use these is beyond me.
